About Use AI for X

Use AI for X is a directory that helps you explore AI tools together with the tasks they fit and the sources behind the details. The goal is to show what a tool actually offers — and which claims you still need to verify yourself — before you commit to it.

Browse by category, search by name, or put two profiles side by side. Every count in the catalogue is calculated from the records actually published here.

How we treat information

We keep official source checks separate from hands-on testing of a product. When we have not tested something, we say so. A tool having a paid plan does not automatically make it the better choice.

How a profile is checked

Each profile starts from the vendor’s own pricing page, help center and product documentation. Every detail we publish is recorded with its source link and the date we read it, and the “How we checked this profile” section at the bottom of each page shows those checks by section. Where the official pages disagree with each other, we say so instead of picking the more convenient number.

• An example: Gamma’s help articles state the Business plan’s monthly AI credit allowance in two different ways. The Gamma profile reports both figures and marks the detail as not confirmed, rather than choosing one.
• Prices: we publish the amount, currency and billing period we actually saw. If a pricing page cannot be opened, we use the vendor’s help center; if no official page shows an amount, the plan card says so.
• Arithmetic, not tests: “How far does it go?” boxes turn published allowances into everyday units, such as seconds of video per month. They are calculations from the vendor’s numbers, labelled as such.

How the site is funded

From 5 October 2026, Use AI for X is funded by advertising and paid listings: tool makers can buy featured spots, always labeled “Sponsored”, and a faster review of a submitted tool. From 14 October 2026 it also earns affiliate commissions on some links, always marked “Affiliate link”. Payment and commissions never change a profile’s facts, sources, check dates or comparisons; we sell no scores, badges or reviews. Who edits Use AI for X

Elias Brandt is the pen name of the editor who researches, writes and maintains every profile, comparison and category page on Use AI for X. Elias builds each profile from the vendor’s own pricing pages, help centers and product documentation, records the date of every check, and turns published allowances into plain arithmetic, such as seconds of video per month or workflow runs per day.

• Independent: no payment or commission changes what we write, and we publish no scores. Sponsored spots and affiliate links are always labeled.
• Accountable: correction reports are checked against the vendor’s own pages, and the profile’s sources are updated with the fix.
• Why a pen name: it keeps the focus on the sources rather than on a personal brand. The contact address below reaches the same editor.
