Strengths and limits
Togal.AI
Strengths
- Built for takeoff: The product does one job, measuring and counting from construction drawings, and trade pages cover drywall, painting, flooring, electrical and more.
- Search across a plan set: Image, text and pattern search lets you box one item and count it across every sheet instead of clicking page by page.
- Unlimited use on the listed plan: Growth lists unlimited automated takeoffs, chat prompts and image searches, so there is no credit meter to run down.
Limits to plan around
- No free plan: The pricing page lists only Growth and Business, and no trial length is published.
- Per-user price: Growth is $299 a month per user, so a three-person team is $897 a month before any quote.
- Data used for model training: The Terms let Togal.AI process customer content to develop its machine learning models and own aggregated data.
Jace AI
Strengths
- Nothing sends without approval: The FAQ says Jace prepares drafts and never sends email without your approval.
- Stated no-training policy: The privacy policy and security page say email content is not used to train AI models.
- Works inside your mail app: Drafts and labels appear in Gmail or Outlook on desktop and mobile, with no install.
Limits to plan around
- No lasting free plan on current pages: The pricing page shows only a 7-day trial before Plus or Pro.
- Credit cost per action unpublished: The pricing page lists monthly credits but not how many a draft or label uses.
- Broad mailbox access: Connecting grants read, compose, send and manage permissions, and copies of emails are stored on Jace servers.

Comparing tools from different categories is fine, and often useful — a writing assistant and a research tool solve different halves of the same job. The table will show you exactly where they diverge.
Questions about comparing tools
How does the comparison work?
Add two tools to the comparison tray from any tool card, then open this page. The table pulls each tool's verified plan details, platforms, strengths and limits from its profile, so both columns carry the same kind of evidence, with a separate source-check date for each tool.
Do you declare a winner?
No. The table sets two tools against each other on documented facts, not on a score. Which one wins depends on your task, your budget and your usage volume — three things we cannot see from here.
Why are some cells empty or marked unverified?
Because we could not confirm that detail on the vendor's own pages. Rather than filling the gap with a figure from elsewhere, we mark it and say why on the tool's profile.
Can I compare more than two tools?
Not at once. Two columns keep the differences readable and force a real decision. Remove either selected tool to replace it, or clear both to start a new pair.
Every figure in the table above comes from the linked profile, where the source and the verification date are listed. Browse all tools or read the editorial policy.
