Sources first, judgement second

At Use AI for X, a source check, hands-on experience and editorial opinion are three different kinds of information. We think readers should be able to tell them apart.

Official source checks

For features and plans we use the vendor’s product, help and pricing pages. The date of that check appears on every tool profile. When we cannot verify something, we do not fill the gap with a guess.

Hands-on testing

Claiming that we tested a tool requires a recorded task, input, plan, date and real output. Our current profiles are based on official source review. They are not hands-on performance tests, and we publish no scores.

Comparisons

A comparison table places intended use and verified plan details next to each other. It does not mean one tool is better at every task. If we ever run a performance comparison, its conditions and limits will be stated alongside it.

Freshness and corrections

Products change. Check the official page again before you subscribe. When information changes, the profile’s sources and its check date are updated together — we never move the date alone to look current.

Commercial relationships

We currently publish no affiliate links, sponsored placement, paid rankings or user ratings. Official provider links are supplied for reference. If this policy changes, the change will be disclosed before it takes effect.
