Strengths and limits
Relume
Strengths
- No seat fee on Publish: Anyone can be invited into the workspace as an editor without a per-seat charge.
- Hosting priced by traffic: Each site picks its own page-view tier, from 6,000 to 900,000 a month.
- Not locked to one host: The same project can be published on Relume or exported to Figma, Webflow or React.
Limits to plan around
- Two bills for one site: AI usage is a workspace plan and hosting a separate plan per site, so a live site on your domain can need both.
- Free AI limit is vague: The pricing page calls the free allowance enough for one full website, a landing page and one small website in three places.
- Generation stops at the cap: At 100% of monthly AI usage, generation pauses until the reset or an upgrade.
Magic Patterns
Strengths
- Visible spend: Each reply reports its credit cost and model, and the docs publish typical credits for one generation up to a 50-version project.
- Free actions: Manual and visual edits, "Fix with AI", retries, exports and sharing use no credits.
- You own the output: The Terms assign designs, code and interfaces you generate to you; Magic Patterns claims no ownership.
Limits to plan around
- Free credits unquantified: The pricing page and docs say "free monthly credits" without a number, so the free allowance cannot be planned.
- Free work trains the service: The Terms let Magic Patterns train on Free plan inputs and output and show Free designs in public galleries.
- Key hand-off is paid: GitHub sync, MCP and design systems are marked as paid-plan features in the docs.

Comparing tools from different categories is fine, and often useful — a writing assistant and a research tool solve different halves of the same job. The table will show you exactly where they diverge.
Questions about comparing tools
How does the comparison work?
Add two tools to the comparison tray from any tool card, then open this page. The table pulls each tool's verified plan details, platforms, strengths and limits from its profile, so both columns carry the same kind of evidence, with a separate source-check date for each tool.
Do you declare a winner?
No. The table sets two tools against each other on documented facts, not on a score. Which one wins depends on your task, your budget and your usage volume — three things we cannot see from here.
Why are some cells empty or marked unverified?
Because we could not confirm that detail on the vendor's own pages. Rather than filling the gap with a figure from elsewhere, we mark it and say why on the tool's profile.
Can I compare more than two tools?
Not at once. Two columns keep the differences readable and force a real decision. Remove either selected tool to replace it, or clear both to start a new pair.
Every figure in the table above comes from the linked profile, where the source and the verification date are listed. Browse all tools or read the editorial policy.
