How far does it go?
- What 500 free credits can downloadOn Free, the pricing page says a download costs 10 credits and the plan includes 500 credits a month. That caps free use at about 50 downloads a month, and fewer in practice because generating and splitting also spend credits at amounts the page does not state here. Is Lalals free?
The pricing page lists a Free plan at $0 with 500 credits a month, 150+ voices, 2 stems, queued processing and MP3 output. Voice output is capped at 10 seconds and downloads cost 10 credits, so 500 credits is a ceiling of about 50 downloads before any generation spends credits. Commercial use is marked as not included on Free, and the Terms limit free accounts to personal, non-commercial use, so do not release free-plan output.
What do the Lalals plans cost?
Monthly billing is $12.97 for Plus and $24.99 for Pro. The yearly toggle shows Plus at $9.99 a month billed yearly and Pro at $16.99 a month billed yearly, so those are monthly equivalents, not the monthly price. A comparison block shows $203.88 for Pro with a “/ month” label; it equals 12 x $16.99, but the label is unclear, so no yearly total is stated. Plus adds 5,000 credits, 200+ voices, up to 4 stems and 5 minutes of voice output; Pro adds 25,000 credits, all 3,000+ voices, all 23 stems, lossless WAV and unlimited voice output.
Who may use the output commercially?
Rights depend on the voice. Under the Terms, Original Voices are Lalals-owned models and paid users may release the output commercially. Inspired Voices carry the names of well-known artists, are not endorsed by them, and are for personal, non-commercial and educational use only, even on a paid plan. Stems pulled from copyrighted or commercially released songs also need the rights holders’ permission for commercial use. The pages do not say how many of the 3,000+ voices are Original, so check the category of each voice before you publish.
What does voice cloning involve?
The voice cloning page describes recording about 30 seconds of clean speech, training a text-to-speech model, then using it in other Lalals tools. The pages we read do not say which plan includes cloning. The Terms forbid using outputs to deceive, impersonate or defame others; they set no separate consent rule for cloning someone else’s voice, so clone only your own.
How could you check Lalals before paying?
Proposed evaluation · not performed yet
Run one real track through the free plan.
- Pick a song or vocal you own and note whether you plan to release it.
- Split it on the free plan and see whether 2 stems are enough; Plus allows 4 and Pro 23.
- Run a short voice change and note how many credits the job spent and what the download cost.
- Check the Original or Inspired category on the voice you used.
Accept if the stems and voice suit the track and the credits cover your monthly volume. Reject if you need artist-style voices for released work. No result is recorded here.
