Strengths, limits and who it suits, in full
Strengths
- Journaling itself is free The pricing page and terms say entries, AI replies, voice journaling, mood tracking, Reflect chat, Your Circle and export are free, and free features will not be moved behind a paid plan.
- Allowance stated before you pay The pricing FAQ lists what Plus includes each month and what pauses when it runs out; the journal itself is never limited.
- Purchased top-ups do not expire The terms say bought call minutes and reports stay on the account until used.
- Memory you can inspect The pricing FAQ says every account can see what Dayora remembers under Profile and delete any line.
- Take your journal with you The FAQ says you can export entries any time, and the privacy policy says deleting the account removes the journal immediately.
Limits
- Entries go to third-party AI providers The privacy policy says what you write, say and upload is sent to AI providers, which may use it to train models in exchange for lower-cost usage; the policy says your journal is not a sealed room.
- Staff can read content for set purposes The privacy policy lets authorised staff review accounts for safety, support and reply-quality checks, and the founder gets a review copy of emails with the journal content and photos.
- Recordings are kept indefinitely The privacy policy says saved voice notes and call audio are kept with no time limit until the account is deleted.
- Not a mental health service The About page says Dayora is not therapy or medical advice and points people in crisis to qualified providers.
- Plus is metered, not unlimited Plus includes about 20 call minutes and one Deep Self Report a month; the included allowance resets monthly and does not carry over.
Who it suits
- People who want a reflective journal for free The core features are free with no credit card, per the pricing page.
- Journalers who prefer talking Voice journaling is free up to 5 minutes a recording; calls are a Plus feature.
- People leaving another AI journal The site publishes import guides for ChatGPT and Rosebud journals.
- Not for sensitive material you cannot share with AI vendors Entries are sent to third-party AI providers that may train on them; the privacy policy mentions an AI-off setting in the newer app version.
How much does Dayora cost?
Prices confirmed · checked
Regional prices: Prices are from the pricing page and terms on 2026-10-17.
The $6 founding price applies to joining before 1 November 2026; afterwards Plus is $9 a month or $72 a year (the page labels the yearly option as saving 33%). Per-call limits differ between sources: the pricing FAQ says calls are capped at 10 minutes each, while the terms say 5 minutes per call; both say 10 calls a day. We did not resolve this. The privacy policy mentions an iPhone app, but no App Store link was found on the pages we read, and the download page says desktop installers will appear after the first release. Prices in the iPhone app were not reviewed; Apple handles billing there. Taxes and non-USD prices were not shown.

How far does it go?
- What Plus costs for a regular callerThe pricing page includes about 20 call minutes a month in Plus. At the $6 founding price that is $6 a month; at $9 it is $9. If you need 50 minutes of calls in a month, the included 20 plus one $6 top-up of 30 minutes covers it, so $12 at the founding price or $15 at $9. Journaling, replies and export stay free either way, and bought minutes do not expire.
