Seat count and whether you need automated workflows decide the plan. Chat covers chat-based writing for up to 5 people but lists no workflow credits, so a sixth writer or any workflow use moves you to Growth, the first plan with a monthly credit allowance.

Chat handles ad-hoc tasks, Content Agent Studio builds an agent for a recurring content type from three sample inputs, and Workflows chain several actions into multi-step processes that plug into existing systems. Workflows can be started from an embedded form or through the Workflows API.
The changelog positions Content Agent Studio as a way to embed content into existing GTM workflows and names Jasper, ChatGPT and Writer as the tools it is set against. The Chat page contrasts Copy.ai with ChatGPT by stressing model choice, brand voice and cited web results; these are vendor statements.

How are workflow credits counted?
A credit stands for the computing work in a workflow run, such as generating text, internet research or scanning websites. Runs with more steps and more output cost more, Platinum actions cost more than standard ones, and the side panel shows the credits used for each run. Test runs made while building a workflow cost nothing.
- Scope: the credit limit belongs to the whole workspace, not to individual users.
- Reset: credits reset every month and unused credits do not roll over.
- Top-ups: the pricing page says credits can be added to the balance later, with Copy.ai’s team estimating the amount needed.
- Older plan wording: one help article still describes an Advanced plan with 2,000 credits a month and 200 bonus credits for new accounts that never expire; the pricing page offers no Advanced plan, although its Enterprise card reads “All Advanced features, plus”.
What billing and refund terms apply?
Refunds are offered only within five days of the first purchase and not if the account was used in the same calendar month as the request; cancelling does not trigger a refund on its own. A cancelled plan stays active to the end of the billing cycle, and partial periods are not refunded.
A monthly plan can move to yearly when you change plans, but going from yearly back to monthly needs a request to support. Copy.ai’s help center now runs under Fullcast, at support.fullcast.com.

At sign-up, note whether a free option or trial appears, then write one real brief, such as a product launch email, in Chat with a Brand Voice built from three past emails. If your account includes workflow access and credits, rebuild the task as a workflow and record the cost per run. Otherwise finish the Chat comparison and treat workflow evaluation as a separate paid-access step. Accept the draft only if product facts and voice constraints survive; record unsupported additions before exporting.

The pricing page lists no free plan, and a help article says the free plan was sunset, yet the Chat landing page still invites free sign-up with no credit card. The billing guide says a cancelled subscription drops to a Free plan that can view workflows but not run new generations, while another article says access ends until you resubscribe.
Can I export Copy.ai content to PDF or PowerPoint?
No PDF or PowerPoint export of generated text is documented. The Chat editor lets you rewrite a highlighted passage, press Tab to extend text, watch word and character counts and export the text without a named file format. Workflows can create Google Docs or OneDrive documents, and invoices download as PDF.
What do Brand Voice and Infobase do?
Brand Voice reads pasted sample content, such as website copy or blog posts, and saves an editable summary of tone and style that you pick in Chat or Workflows. Infobase keeps uploaded Word, PDF or text files and typed notes, and a prompt pulls them in with a hashtag such as #guidelines. Both accept text only.
How are teams organized inside Copy.ai?
Work is split into Teamspaces, which can be public, private or personal, and members hold Admin, Editor or Collaborator roles. Workflow credits are pooled across the workspace, so one busy team can use up the allowance for everyone. Deleting a Chat project from its menu cannot be undone, so archive work you may need later.
