Qoder: Pro is $20 a month for 2,000 credits that reset monthly, and Free drops to basic models after the trial
Updated September 29, 2026 · By Elias Brandt · Documentation review, not tested hands-on
Pros
- Work continues after credits run out
- Published credit estimates
- Failed requests are free
Cons
- Credits do not roll over
- Content may improve the service
- Narrow refund window
Bottom line
One-time 2-week Pro trial with 300 credits for new users; then basic models with daily and monthly limits, limited completions and next edits, and bring your own API key.
You want an agent-capable coding tool with a predictable $20 monthly ceiling and can live with 2,000 credits, because the published medians put that near 40 Quest Agent requests.
You expect unused credits to accumulate, because plan credits reset to zero each period and a Credit Pack at $20 for 1,500 credits costs more per credit than Pro.

Strengths, limits and who it suits, in full
Strengths
- Work continues after credits run out Free and paid accounts fall back to basic models instead of stopping.
- Published credit estimates The docs list median credits per Ask, Agent, Quest and Repo Wiki request.
- Failed requests are free Credits are deducted only when a model call succeeds.
Limits
- Credits do not roll over Plan credits reset to zero at the end of each monthly period.
- Content may improve the service The terms allow use of your content to improve Qoder unless Share and Improve is turned off.
- Narrow refund window The pricing FAQ allows refunds only within 24 hours of subscribing and before any credits are used.
Who it suits
- Developers who mainly want completions Qoder itself points Pro at day-to-day completion with light agent help.
- Heavy agent users Pro+ triples the credits for autonomous agent work at three times the Pro price.
- JetBrains developers the JetBrains plugin shares the same account and credits, so one plan covers both environments.
- Small teams needing SSO Teams at $40 per seat adds SSO, roles and privacy mode management, with 3,000 credits per seat.
How much does Qoder cost?
Prices confirmed · checked
Regional prices: Prices are in USD and exclude taxes such as VAT or sales tax.
Individual plans bill monthly and renew one day before the cycle ends; a failed renewal downgrades the account to Free and forfeits unused credits. Credit Packs cost $20 for 1,500 credits, are available on Pro, Pro+ and Ultra, last one month and are not refundable. September 2026 offers, such as doubled first-month credits on Pro and Pro+, are temporary and exclude Teams and Enterprise.

Which plan fits?
Smallest plan whose monthly credits cover your number with 15% spare for regenerations. Arithmetic from the plan table above, not a usage test.
How far does it go?
- Pro credits against the published medians2,000 ÷ about 12 credits per Editor Agent request (200K context) ≈ 166 requests; 2,000 ÷ about 50 per Quest Agent request = 40; 2,000 ÷ about 75 per Quest Experts request ≈ 26. A Credit Pack costs $20 ÷ 1,500 ≈ $0.013 per credit, against $20 ÷ 2,000 = $0.01 inside Pro. The medians are provider estimates; real use varies with model and context.

What does the 2-week trial include, and what is left afterwards?
New users receive a one-time 14-day Pro trial when they first sign in to the latest Qoder client, with 300 credits and all Pro features, including Quest, Repo Wiki and Experts Mode. The trial is limited to one account per user and is not available on virtual machines. When it ends, the account drops to Free and unused trial credits are cleared.
Upgrading before the trial ends converts the remaining trial credits into an add-on pack that keeps its original expiry date. Staying on Free keeps basic models with daily and monthly limits, limited completions and next edits, and the option to bring your own API key, so light work can continue without paying.
How far do 2,000 Pro credits go?
Credits are charged by model and by input and output tokens, so an agent request that calls several models costs more than a quick question. Qoder publishes median estimates from its own usage data, and it says actual deductions vary. Failed model requests do not deduct credits, and credits expiring soonest are used first.
- Editor Ask Mode: about 3 credits per request at 50K context, 4 at 200K.
- Editor Agent Mode: about 7 credits at 50K context, 12 at 200K.
- Qoder Agent Mode and Quest Agent Mode: about 50 credits per request.
- Quest Experts Mode: about 75 credits per request.
- Repo Wiki: about 50 credits per repository.
Which plan fits the way you use agents?
Editorial assessment
Choose the plan by agent mode, not by the number of files you edit. Qoder recommends Pro for everyday completion with light agent help, Pro+ for heavy autonomous agent work and Ultra for frequent long-running Quest tasks. At the published medians, Pro covers roughly 40 Quest Agent requests a month before falling back to basic models.
Credit Packs cost $20 for 1,500 credits and expire one month after purchase, which makes them more expensive per credit than the plan allowance. If you buy a pack most months, compare it with the next tier: Pro+ gives 6,000 credits for $60, while Pro plus two packs gives 5,000 for the same money.
Which current offers are temporary?
Several offers change the numbers you see in September 2026. A first monthly purchase of Pro or Pro+ between September 1 and 30 (Singapore time) receives bonus credits equal to the plan amount, so Pro shows 4,000 credits in the first month. Renewals and upgrades in the same window receive 1,000 bonus credits, valid for 30 days.
Since September 18, individual users can claim 100 credits a day in the desktop app, each valid for 30 days, with no end date announced. The Qwen3.8-Flash model also costs no credits for a limited time, extended past September 30. Teams and Enterprise plans are excluded from all three, so budget on the standard allowance.
Is your code used to improve Qoder?
Under the terms you keep rights in your inputs and Qoder assigns you its rights in outputs, but you grant a worldwide license to use your content to operate and improve the services and develop new products. You can stop this for new content by turning off the Share and Improve setting; the privacy policy says the opt-out depends on your plan.
The privacy policy keeps de-identified content for research and product improvement for up to five years and shares prompts and code with outside model providers to generate outputs. Content may be processed outside your country. In Teams and Enterprise, admins can enable or disable Share and Improve centrally, which is the safer route for company code.
How do upgrades, cancellations and refunds work?
Individual plans bill monthly on the date you subscribed and renew one day before the cycle ends. If a renewal payment fails, the account returns to Free and unused credits are lost. Cancelling keeps the plan until the end of the period; Qoder does not support immediate downgrades within a period.
An upgrade takes effect at once and refunds the remaining value of the old plan’s credits, but it cannot be reversed and leftover credits do not carry over. A refund of a new subscription is possible only within 24 hours and before any credits are used, by emailing the account and bill to refund@qoder.com; Credit Packs are not refundable.
Can the Pro trial add a small feature to a repository within a known credit budget?
Proposed evaluation · not performed yet
During the 2-week trial on a physical machine, use a throwaway repository you own, such as a five-file Express app with an existing test suite. Ask Editor Agent Mode to add a /health endpoint that returns the app version, with one unit test.
- Record the client version, the model selected and the trial credit balance.
- Send one Agent Mode request describing the endpoint and the test.
- Review the diff and run the test suite locally.
- Ask for one correction if a test fails, then run the suite again.
- Record the credits used by each request on the Usage page.
Accept a change limited to the route and test files, a passing suite and a credit cost close to the published Agent Mode median. Reject edits to unrelated files, removed tests or a charge far above the estimate. No diff, test result or credit figure is reported until the exercise is run.
For an editor built around the same agent workflow, compare Cursor. For completions inside an existing editor, see GitHub Copilot, and for JetBrains-first teams, JetBrains AI Assistant.
Is Qoder worth it?
Documentation review plus dated public user reports. Documentation review, not tested hands-on. Not scored.
Worth it if
- You want an agent-capable coding tool with a predictable $20 monthly ceiling and can live with 2,000 credits, because the published medians put that near 40 Quest Agent requests.
- You work in JetBrains or in a desktop app and want a Free plan with your own API key as a fallback once the trial ends.
- You are willing to turn off Share and Improve, or to have a Teams admin do it, so that your code is not used to improve the service.
Probably not if
- You expect unused credits to accumulate, because plan credits reset to zero each period and a Credit Pack at $20 for 1,500 credits costs more per credit than Pro.
- You want a refund if the tool disappoints after a few days, because the pricing FAQ only allows one within 24 hours and before any credits are used.
- You rely on running agents in a virtual machine for the trial, because the Pro trial is not available there and is limited to one account per user.

Frequently asked questions
Is Qorder the same product as Qoder?
The coding platform is spelled Qoder and lives at qoder.com, run by BRIGHT ZENITH PRIVATE LIMITED. Searches for qorder mostly return restaurant QR ordering apps, a kiosk vendor and a job-scheduler command. Check the qoder.com domain before downloading the client or entering payment details, because the names are easy to confuse.
Can I use the Qoder trial on a virtual machine?
No. The pricing FAQ and plan docs say the Pro trial starts on first sign-in to the latest desktop client and is not available on virtual machines. It is limited to one account per user, and extra trial accounts are suspended or frozen, so start the trial on the machine you will actually use.
Which payment methods does Qoder accept?
The pricing FAQ lists Visa, Mastercard, Alipay, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Listed prices exclude taxes such as VAT or sales tax, which are added at checkout. Past invoices, including tax and discount details, can be downloaded from Settings, then Plan and Billing, on the Qoder website.
Can a company move between the Teams and Enterprise plans later?
Not smoothly. The docs say Teams and Enterprise are isolated from each other and do not support upgrade or downgrade between them. Enterprise seats cost $20 each without included credits, while Teams seats include 3,000 credits and become bound to a member once any are used, so pick by team size first.
Which AI models does Qoder use behind the scenes?
The privacy policy names Alibaba's Qwen and Moonshot's Kimi among the large language model providers that help generate outputs, and the product lets you choose models with different credit rates. On the Free plan you can also bring your own API key, in which case that provider's own terms apply to your requests.

During the September 2026 offer the pricing card shows 4,000 credits on Pro, while the docs state 2,000 included monthly credits and 4,000 only in the first month of a first purchase; the base amount is used here. The pricing FAQ allows a refund within 24 hours if no credits were used, while the terms say fees are non-refundable except as required by law. The terms interpretation clause refers to Singapore dollars unless indicated otherwise, but the fees clause, docs and pricing page state USD. The privacy policy names Alibaba's Qwen and Moonshot's Kimi among model service providers; no ownership relationship is stated on the pages checked. The search term qorder mostly returns unrelated restaurant ordering products.
