Count repurposing minutes and the refund window before paying yearly

Munch Studio, from Munch Content Platform Ltd., learns a business from its website and media, then generates posts, carousels and short clips from long videos and publishes them to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok. The pricing page lists a 7-day trial, not a free plan. Essential costs $38 a month billed yearly at $456, for 500 repurposing minutes and 10 generated videos; its monthly-billing price appears as both $58 and $48.

Yearly prices agree across the page. For monthly billing of the single-brand plans the page gives two sets of figures: the plan cards show $58 and $85, the comparison table $48 and $75. Neither is treated as confirmed here; check the checkout total. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial. The terms allow a one-time, non-refundable setup fee on certain plans, disclosed before purchase; none is shown on the pricing page.

How far does it go?

  • Yearly saving and an annual refund on EssentialWith the card price: 12 × $58 = $696, and $696 − $456 = $240, the saving printed on the card. With the table price: 12 × $48 = $576, and $576 − $456 = $120. After the 14-day window, the terms refund $456 minus the standard monthly price per month used; after 3 months that is $456 − 3 × $58 = $282, or $456 − 3 × $48 = $312.

Is there a free plan, and how does the 7-day trial convert?

The pricing page offers a 7-day free trial on every paid plan and no free tier. The terms say starting a trial may require payment details through Stripe and that the trial converts automatically into the monthly or annual plan chosen at sign-up unless cancelled from the My Account page or by email before it ends.

The pricing FAQ adds a wrinkle: it lists Free among the single-brand plans and says cancelling Essential moves the account back to Free. No Free limits are published, so treat that as an account state rather than a plan you can rely on for posting.

What do the monthly and yearly prices commit you to?

Billed yearly, Essential is $38 a month charged as $456 and Premium $60 a month charged as $720, and these figures agree across the page. Monthly billing does not: the plan cards show $58 and $85, while the comparison table lower on the same page shows $48 and $75. Both are reported here; confirm the amount at checkout before choosing monthly billing.

Refunds follow separate rules. A monthly payment is refundable in full if you cancel within 7 days and have not used the service in that time. An annual plan is fully refundable within the first 14 days, counting the trial. After that, the refund is the annual fee minus the standard monthly price for each month or part used.

How far do repurposing minutes and generated videos go?

Each plan meters three things: minutes of long video that can be repurposed, generated videos and video scripts. Posters and carousels are unlimited on every plan. On multi-brand plans the limits are shared across all brands on the account, not given to each brand.

When a limit is reached, the FAQ says you are prompted to upgrade to the next plan in your group, and usage resets at the start of the next billing cycle. There is no published top-up for extra minutes. A business that records a weekly one-hour show would use about 240 to 300 minutes a month, inside Essential, but ten generated videos a month may be the tighter limit.

  • Essential: 500 minutes, 10 generated videos, 5 scripts a week.
  • Premium: 1,000 minutes, 30 generated videos, unlimited scripts.
  • Studio: 2,500 minutes and 50 videos across up to 5 brands.
  • Scale: 7,500 minutes and 150 videos across up to 15 brands.

What does Munch publish for you, and what stays your responsibility?

After it learns the business from the website, posts, videos and call recordings, Munch builds a strategy, drafts posts and videos, and publishes the ones you approve to connected Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok accounts. Call recordings and videos that include other people should be uploaded only with their consent.

The terms say Munch is not liable for errors, omissions or third-party rights infringement in the content or deliverables, and they require that you hold the rights to everything you upload. Review claims, prices, music and images in each generated post before approving it, particularly in regulated fields such as health or finance.

Who owns the output, and how is your content used?

The pricing FAQ says everything Munch Studio creates belongs to you. The terms give Munch a limited licence to use your content and deliverables to provide the service, and you agree that your content may be used to train the AI systems that serve your account; the terms say personal data that is not publicly available is not used for training.

Two further clauses matter for brands. The terms let Munch name your company as a customer and use your logo in its marketing, with case studies published only with written approval. The privacy notice says conversations synced from connected social accounts are kept until you delete them or request deletion.

Is a multi-brand plan right for an agency?

Studio covers up to 5 brands and Scale up to 15, both with unlimited team members, and Scale can be customised by brands and quotas. Downgrading from Premium, Studio or Scale must be requested from support, so start on the smaller plan in a group and move up when limits bite.

Check the licence wording before signing an agency contract. The terms describe a personal, non-transferable licence and ask users to state they are not acting on behalf of another person or company, which sits awkwardly with client work. Ask Munch to confirm agency use in writing, or use its partnerships contact for a custom agreement.

Can the trial turn one webinar into a week of short clips?

Proposed evaluation · not performed yet

During the 7-day trial on Essential, upload a 20-minute webinar recording that your business owns, in which every speaker has agreed to reuse. Ask for clips and posts for one week on two connected accounts, such as Instagram and LinkedIn, and approve nothing automatically.

  1. Record the plan, trial start date and remaining repurposing minutes before upload.
  2. Upload the webinar and add the brand logo, colours and fonts.
  3. Review the suggested clips, captions and post copy for one week.
  4. Check each clip for cut-off sentences, caption errors and claims not made in the webinar.
  5. Schedule two posts, confirm they appear on the right accounts, then note the minutes and generated videos used.

Accept at least five usable clips with accurate captions and no invented claims, using about 20 of the 500 minutes. Reject clips that misquote speakers or posts published without approval. Cancel before the trial ends if the result is not used. No result is reported until the test is run.

For the wider task of turning long content into short pieces, see content repurposing. To edit a recording by its transcript before cutting clips, compare Descript; for short vertical videos made from a script or URL, see Cliptalk.

Is Munch Studio worth it?

Documentation review plus dated public user reports. Documentation review, not tested hands-on. Not scored.

Worth it if

  • You run a small business with a website and long videos, and want clips and scheduled posts without planning each week yourself.
  • You can commit to a yearly plan and want the refund window to cover an unused start, which the terms set at 14 days for annual subscriptions.

Probably not if

  • You need a permanent free plan, because the pricing page offers only the 7-day trial that converts to a paid plan unless cancelled.
  • You plan to pay monthly and need a firm price, because the plan cards and the comparison table disagree on the monthly figures.
  • You manage client work as an agency, because the terms describe a personal licence and the wording needs written confirmation first.

Frequently asked questions

Is Munch Studio the same product as Munch at getmunch.com?

Yes. The older getmunch.com domain now redirects to munchstudio.com, and the product has moved from video repurposing towards full social media marketing. Searches also return Munch, an unrelated design and brand studio at munch.studio. Check the domain before signing up or entering card details.

What happens to my content if I cancel a paid plan?

The pricing FAQ says cancelling Essential returns the account to Free. Cancelling Premium, Studio or Scale puts the account on hold with data intact, and you can reactivate on the same or a higher plan. The terms say reactivation charges the full fee again and starts a new billing period.

Can I upload my own logo, colours and fonts?

Yes. The pricing FAQ says you can add a logo, brand colours and fonts during onboarding or later in Account Settings. Munch Studio then applies them to every poster, carousel and video it generates. Upload the vector version of the logo and exact colour codes so generated assets match your existing materials.

What is the difference between Pro and Ultimate support?

Essential includes Pro support, which moves tickets ahead of the regular queue. Premium, Studio and Scale include Ultimate support, described as skipping the line with the fastest responses and senior specialists. Standard support, with the help center and business-hours email, is the base tier and is not attached to any listed paid plan.

Can there be a setup fee on top of the subscription?

The terms allow a one-time setup fee on certain plans for account configuration and onboarding, disclosed before you buy, and say it is never refunded. The public pricing page does not show a setup fee on any plan, so check the checkout summary and any order form before paying.

The plan cards and the comparison table give different monthly-billing prices for Essential ($58 vs $48) and Premium ($85 vs $75); both are reported. The pricing FAQ calls Free a single-brand plan and says cancelling Essential returns an account to Free, but the pricing page lists no Free plan or limits. The terms name Munch Content Platform Ltd., an Israeli company in Tel Aviv; the footer shows a Middletown, Delaware address. The former getmunch.com domain redirects here.
