Count the output rows your lists produce each month, weight enriched rows three times, then pick the plan. Basic makes sense only for small, self-built scraping jobs; once you pass about 400 credits a month, Premium’s entry tier gives 1,000 credits for $10 more than Basic’s 400-credit tier.
- Free credits: the 100 free credits are enough to try one small list, not to run a routine.
- Basic ($10 to $50 a month): 100 to 500 credits for scrapers you build yourself. The $10 entry tier holds the same 100 credits as the free allowance; what it adds is a paid monthly allowance and, as a paid user, runs with the browser closed.
- Premium ($50 to $500 a month): 1,000 to 10,000 credits, adding premium scrapers, enrichment and teams; annual billing runs from $480 for 12,000 credits to $4,800 for 120,000.

How are Bardeen credits charged?
Credits are charged per output row, not per run. Scraping, web search and AI tools cost 1 credit per row and enrichment 3, while importing data, utilities and CSV downloads are free. Unused credits expire at the end of each billing period.
The pricing page’s worked example scrapes 10 profile links, pulls their details, validates the emails, qualifies them with AI and sends the 4 qualified leads to a Google Sheet, for 64 credits in total. Email validation accounts for 30 of the 64, and the Sheet export is billed at 1 credit per row, so multiply each step’s rows by its rate before choosing a tier.

How does the scraper reach the pages you need?
Bardeen runs as a Chrome extension and acts on your machine, so no passwords or proxies are shared and it can read what your own browser can see. It scrapes text, links, images and click or hover elements, works through pagination, follows linked pages, fills in forms and can run in a separate background window.
You can describe a target and let AI build a scraper template, give the scraper a goal in agent mode across a list of sites, or use premium templates that Bardeen maintains. The scraper page asks users to respect site terms of service, limit request volume and avoid personal data unless permitted.
Where does your data stay?
Data from connected services is kept in local browser storage rather than on Bardeen’s servers, while connected-app configurations and custom playbook data are stored server-side for sync; the Enterprise-only Workflow Intelligence Platform is the stated exception. Paid users who run automations with the browser closed have part of each run executed on Bardeen’s infrastructure. Bardeen states SOC 2 Type 2 compliance as of April 1, 2024, GDPR alignment and CASA Tier 2 and Tier 3.
Has Bardeen moved from general automation to lead sourcing?
Earlier Bardeen material described a general browser automation tool with playbooks, and the security page still mentions playbooks and autobooks. The current homepage and pricing page lead with lead sourcing, scraping and enrichment, and the public release notes stop at version 2.80.0 in August 2024. If you rely on an older playbook, confirm it still exists.
That focus sets Bardeen apart from Zapier, Make and n8n, which move data between connected apps on triggers and schedules. Bardeen addresses collecting rows from web pages and then enriching, validating and qualifying them; the two kinds of tool can share a spreadsheet as the hand-off point.

Note the credits used at each step against the per-row rates, export to CSV and Google Sheets, and count the rows that need manual cleanup. Add email validation only on a plan that explicitly includes enrichment, such as Premium; the free credit grant alone does not establish feature access. Stop if pagination loses rows or the account blocks the required action.

Is Bardeen free?
The pricing page promises 100 free credits but does not identify their renewal schedule or all eligible actions. Check which steps your account actually enables before estimating a free run. Basic excludes enrichment; a credit balance by itself is therefore insufficient evidence that email validation or premium scraping is available.
Can I send Bardeen results to a CRM?
Bardeen documents exports to CSV, Google Sheets, Airtable and Notion, and data can also be imported from Google Sheets, Notion or Airtable. For Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Apollo.io and other CRMs or outreach tools, the integrations page links to guides that move data through a CSV or spreadsheet import; no direct two-way sync is described.
Does Bardeen need Chrome to be open?
Scraping uses the Chrome extension, with the permissions listed on Bardeen's security page. Paid users can also run automations while the browser is closed; part of that work then runs on Bardeen's servers. Decide whether that execution location fits the data before scheduling an unattended collection job.
What does Bardeen's Web Search step do?
Web Search runs many search queries at once and can research each lead in a list with Perplexity AI search, writing the answers back as rows. Each result row costs 1 credit, the same as a scraped row, so researching a 200-lead list uses about 200 credits before any enrichment or AI qualification step is added.
