Prices confirmed · checked
Regional prices: The consumer web and app show no paid plan on public pages, although the terms still contain a subscriptions section.
API prices are in USD; one song costs 100 credits and setting num_songs to 2 costs 150. Subscription credits reset each billing period without rollover, while pay-as-you-go credits never expire. Any user-facing API integration must display an attribution such as Powered By Treblo.

Is Treblo the same service as Sonauto?
Yes. On June 3, 2026 the team announced that Sonauto had become Treblo and moved to treblo.com. Accounts, logins, songs and shared links carried over, and sonauto.ai links redirect to the new domain. The terms and API terms still name the company as Sonauto, Inc., and the Android listing still shows Sonauto as the developer.
Developers need one change: the API host is now api.treblo.com. The announcement says the old api.sonauto.ai host still resolves for now but asks integrations to migrate, so a hard-coded old host is a future outage risk rather than an immediate one.
What does unlimited free actually include?
The homepage describes the free tier as unlimited songs on the latest model, Melodia v3, with no daily limits and no first-three-free trial. Its comparison table lists generation, inpainting, extending and stem separation on free accounts, plus downloads in OGG, MP3, WAV, FLAC and M4A. That table is the provider’s own summary of competitors, dated September 25, 2026.
No paid consumer plan appears on the public pages, but the terms keep a section on subscriptions that renew automatically. If a paid option appears in the app, read its renewal terms before accepting it. The About page describes a team of four people, and the rename post says they still answer their own support email.
Who owns the songs, and who can use them?
Section 8 of the terms says you own whatever rights may exist in the music you generate, and Sonauto, Inc. assigns its own rights in those outputs to you. The commercial-use restrictions elsewhere in the terms do not limit your use of your outputs. The homepage FAQ adds that songs can go into videos and posts, as long as what you put into them is yours.
- Outputs may not be unique; another user can receive a similar song, and the assignment does not cover theirs.
- The provider makes no promise that a song is copyrightable or lawful to use.
- You are responsible for checking that your use of a song complies with the law and the terms.
What happens to your lyrics and prompts?
The same section grants Sonauto, Inc. a perpetual, irrevocable license to your outputs and to the prompts, lyrics and other content you submit to generate them. The stated purposes include developing and improving the service and its AI and machine learning models. There is no opt-out described for consumer accounts.
The API terms take the opposite position for developer traffic: API inputs and outputs are not used to train or fine-tune models. If unreleased lyrics matter, the API route is the one with a written training exclusion. Publishing a song also counts as a Contribution, which grants a separate license to use it, including your name and voice, for commercial and advertising purposes.
What are the rules for voices, artists and uploaded audio?
The terms prohibit uploading a recording of an identifiable person’s voice, image or likeness unless you are that person or have their consent. They also prohibit claiming that a song was created, performed or endorsed by an identifiable artist, or titling and promoting it as by, inspired by or sounding like a named artist without consent.
Uploads that contain third-party copyrighted material need permission from the rights holder. For covers or remixes, start from your own recordings or audio you are licensed to use, and describe the style with genre tags rather than artist names.
How does the API price a song?
The developer pricing page charges 100 credits per song, and a request with num_songs set to 2 costs 150 credits. Plans are monthly, from Starter to Enterprise, with overage billed pay-as-you-go. The API terms allow commercial use in your own products but forbid using API outputs to train music-generation models.
- Free trial: 3,000 credits after verifying a card.
- Starter: $11 a month for 20,000 credits.
- Pro: $88 a month for 160,000 credits.
- Scale: $330 a month for 660,000 credits, with cheaper overage.
- Every user-facing integration must show a visible Treblo attribution unless a separate agreement waives it.
Can the free tier deliver a usable 60-second instrumental for a video?
Proposed evaluation · not performed yet
On a free account, generate an instrumental backing track for a 60-second product video you own, using style tags only and no artist names. Keep the track private and do not publish it to the profile.
- Switch lyrics to instrumental and choose three tags, such as lo-fi, 2020s and guitar.
- Generate two versions and keep the stronger one.
- Extend or regenerate a section until the track passes 60 seconds.
- Download WAV and MP3 and open both in an audio editor.
- Check duration, clipping, stray vocals and whether the ending can be faded cleanly.
Accept a downloadable file of at least 60 seconds with no vocals and no audible artifacts at the edit point. Reject a track that includes sung words, stops abruptly or cannot be downloaded. No audio result is reported until the task is run.
To clean up or master recorded audio rather than generate it, see Auphonic or Adobe Podcast. For spoken voiceover instead of songs, compare ElevenLabs.
Is Treblo worth it?
Documentation review plus dated public user reports. Documentation review, not tested hands-on. Not scored.
Worth it if
- You want free full songs with vocals for personal projects, jokes or video background music, because the consumer app shows no paid plan and allows downloads in several formats.
- You are building song generation into your own product, because the API terms exclude inputs and outputs from training and the pricing page lists a per-song credit rate.
- You want to sketch demos from lyrics and style tags and can keep your own lyric files elsewhere as the master copy.
Probably not if
- Your lyrics or prompts are unreleased and sensitive, because the consumer terms license them to Treblo for model improvement with no opt-out described.
- You need dependable vocals in Japanese, Korean, Arabic or other non-Latin scripts, since the provider itself warns that pronunciation may be off.
- You plan to publish songs publicly and want to limit reuse, because posting grants a perpetual license that includes commercial and advertising use.

Frequently asked questions
How fast does Treblo generate a song?
The homepage says a song starts streaming in about 15 seconds and keeps generating in the background while you listen. That speed comes from the provider and was not measured here. Streaming playback means you can judge the opening before the track finishes, which helps when trying many style combinations in one session.
Do I have to publish songs to download them?
No. The homepage FAQ says tracks can stay private, be shared as unlisted links or be downloaded without ever being published. Publishing to your profile, playlists, groups or the radio is optional. That choice matters, because public posts fall under the broader Contributions license in the terms while private downloads do not.
Can Treblo make music without vocals?
Yes. Switching the lyrics option to instrumental makes Treblo skip the singing entirely. The provider suggests this for backing tracks, study mixes, podcast intros and game scores. Style tags still shape the arrangement, so adding an instrument or decade tag gives the model more direction than a single broad genre tag.
Is there a Treblo mobile app?
Yes, on iOS and Android. On the day checked, the Android listing showed more than 100,000 downloads and an update dated September 10, 2026. One user thread reported that downloaded songs were not saving to the phone, and the developer replied that an update should fix it, so check where files land after downloading.
Who can create a Treblo account?
The terms require users to be at least 13, or older where local law sets a higher age. Users who have not reached the age of majority need a parent or guardian to review and accept the terms first. Treblo may ask for a date of birth, restrict features by region and apply different default privacy settings for users under 18.
Can I download Treblo songs as MP3 for free?
Yes. Treblo's free web and app tier offers unlimited songs on the latest Melodia v3 model, with downloads in MP3 as well as OGG, WAV, FLAC and M4A. The public consumer pages show no paid plan, and songs can be downloaded without publishing them. The terms still let Treblo use your prompts, lyrics and outputs to improve its models.

Sonauto announced its rename to Treblo on June 3, 2026; sonauto.ai links redirect to treblo.com, and the api.sonauto.ai host still resolved for migration. The terms and API terms name Sonauto, Inc., with a mailing address in San Francisco, California. treblo.com pages blocked plain automated requests and were read in a full browser. The homepage statement that the first AI-generated song on the Billboard Hot 100 was made with Treblo, and its free-tier comparison with other services, are the provider’s own claims.
